The Chamber of Commerce Czech Republic - Equatorial Guinea - Gabon - Senegal - Guinea has officially taken up its activity on January 3, 2007.

The principal purpose for establishing the Chamber is supporting mutual economic and business relations between the Czech business community and their prospective partners in the participating countries.

The Chamber provides particularly strong support for its constituent and future members. It is creating and information marketing information database available for strategic research of business opportunities in participating countries. It is also preparing a database of experts, like consultants, advisors, qualified guides and interpreters with experiences from the mentioned countries.

Even now the Chamber provides organization services to all subjects interested in doing business or in investing in West Africa in the area of the Bay of Guinea, including direct mediation of particular business contacts, organizing business missions, preparing meetings and business negotiations.

Participating countries offer considerable potential for successful commerce especially in the field of tourism. There is a large demand for investments, each country needs to improve or to fairly build up infrastructure, which will mean more outstanding demand for most common goods and services. In addition, all these countries dispose of substantial natural resources.

Based on an agreement with the Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic the sphere of action of the Chamber was determined to the whole area of West Africa - Bay of Guinea.
